Welcome to Barrington Interiors. By requesting a quotation, booking a service, or entering into an agreement with us, you accept these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they explain how we work and what both sides can expect.
Barrington Interiors provides bathroom installation, shower panelling, tiling, plumbing (non-gas), carpentry, flooring, and general interior refurbishment services.

“Client”, “you”, “your” – the person requesting work or accepting a quote.
“We”, “our”, “us” – Barrington Interiors.
“Works” – the services, labour, and materials supplied.
“Quote/Estimate” – the price we give you based on the information provided.
3.1 All quotes are valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Quotes are based on the information provided at the time of survey.
If circumstances change (hidden damage, incorrect measurements, additional work requested), the quote will be revised.
3.3 If the price changes due to unforeseen issues, we will always inform you before continuing.
4.1 A 25% deposit is required to cover the cost of materials and to secure your installation date. Materials will not be ordered until the deposit has been received.
4.2 Cancellation Window:
If the client changes their mind, they may cancel up to 14 days (2 weeks) before the installation date.
If cancelled before the 2-week mark, the deposit will be refunded minus any material costs already incurred.
If cancelled within 2 weeks of the installation date, the deposit becomes non-refundable, as materials will have been purchased and the booking slot allocated.
4.3 Payment Schedule:
25% Deposit – required upfront
Progress Payments – for multi-day projects where agreed
Final Balance – due on the day the work is completed
4.4 Payments must be made by bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
4.5 Late payments may incur a £25 late fee plus any reasonable recovery costs.
5.1 You may cancel or reschedule up to 14 days before the job with no fee.
5.2 Cancellations inside 14 days may result in:
Loss of deposit
Charged cost of any materials already purchased
5.3 If we must cancel due to illness, supply issues, or unavoidable circumstances, we will rearrange the earliest possible date.
6.1 The agreed quote covers only what is written. Anything extra is treated as a variation and will cost extra.
6.2 Examples of chargeable extras:
Additional plumbing or pipe rerouting
Electrical work requiring a certified electrician
New issues discovered after removal (rot, leaks, uneven floors)
Client changes of design, layout, or materials
6.3 We will always explain the cost of variations before carrying them out.
7.1 Clients may supply their own materials. In this case:
We take no responsibility for defects or delays with those materials.
If supplied materials are missing, damaged, or unsuitable, additional charges may apply.
7.2 Materials supplied by us are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
8.1 All labour is guaranteed for 12 months from completion.
8.2 This guarantee does not cover:
Damage caused by misuse
Wear & tear
Issues arising from materials supplied by the client
Problems caused by other trades or third-party interference
8.3 If an issue arises under guarantee, we will repair it free of charge.
9.1 You must ensure:
Clear access to the working area
A safe environment
Water, electricity, and lighting available
9.2 If access is blocked or the site is unsafe, we may charge for lost time.
10.1 We carry out plumbing relevant to bathroom installations but do not perform work requiring a Gas Safe engineer.
10.2 Any electrical work requiring certification will be carried out by a qualified subcontractor, charged separately if not included in the original quote.
11.1 Waste removal will only be included if specified in the quote.
11.2 If waste removal is not included, the client is responsible for skips or disposal costs.
12.1 We will take great care in your home, but we are not liable for:
Pre-existing faults
Structural issues
Hidden pipework problems
Flooring or walls that crumble when disturbed
12.2 Our liability is limited to the value of the work we have performed.
13.1 Start and completion dates are estimates.
Delays can occur due to:
Supplier issues
Hidden problems discovered during rip-out
Weather (if applicable; e.g., exterior venting)
Illness
Required subcontractors
13.2 We will keep you updated at all times.
14.1 We may take before/after photos for portfolio, social media, or website use.
If you prefer not to, you can opt out in writing.
If you have a complaint, please contact us directly.
We will respond within 3 working days and aim to resolve the issue quickly.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by UK law.
